Journey
The Beginning – A Solo Studio
Ankit started as a freelancer during his school years, designing logos, brand kits, and marketing content for global clients. With skills ranging from UI/UX to motion graphics and websites, he became a one-man studio delivering end-to-end solutions that typically required entire teams.
Expanding Horizons – Full-Stack Mindset
As his work evolved, so did his toolkit. Ankit moved beyond design into development, bridging creativity and code. This shift shaped him into what many call a full-stack creator capable of imagining, designing, and building complete digital products.
Fylex – First Venture into Startups
Driven by a desire to solve real-world problems, Ankit founded Fylex, a family safety and location-sharing app. Recognized by Startup India (DPIIT), Fylex aimed to make families feel connected and secure through real-time updates and emergency alerts. From brand identity to product development, Ankit carried the vision end-to-end.
Balancing Academics & Ambition
Parallel to his startup, Ankit pursued a B.Tech in Computer Science and a BS in Data Science from IIT Madras. Managing academics and entrepreneurship simultaneously demanded tough choices leading him to step away from B.Tech while continuing his IIT journey. This phase honed his resilience and focus.
Coming Full Circle – Freelancing Platform
Later, Ankit joined the founding team of Qwego, first as a Product Consultant and eventually as its Director & Head of Product. In many ways, it was a full-circle moment. Someone who began freelancing was now shaping a platform for freelancers. Ankit led its product vision, crafted its UI/UX, and contributed to development building it from the ground up.
